Gold Fever! The Untold Stories of the California Gold Rush

April 27, 2013- November 23, 2013

The first traveling exhibit to come to the Imperial Valley Desert Museum, Gold Fever! was created by Exhibit Envoy to tell the stories behind the California Gold Rush.  We added local artifacts and information to focus this statewide exhibit on the Imperial Valley and its' gold rush.  Building a miner's cabin, complete with miner's trunk and newspaper wallpaper, and creating an area for kids to weigh the supplies they would need to buy, were only a few of the ways we made this an interactive exhibit.
