IVDM Curation Department

The Desert Museum is a federally-approved repository providing curation services for artifacts found in the Imperial Valley and eastern San Diego County. Our new 10,000 sq foot facility offers the only curation lab in Imperial County. We are currently accepting archaeological collections from the Imperial Valley and surrounding regions.

We are open and accessible to students and professional researchers alike who are interested in exploring the history, science, and early cultures of the region.  Interested parties should first contact the Museum directly to inquire about specific collections and to coordinate a time to visit.

For additional information, please first review the materials provided on the "Curation Services", "Finding Aids", and "Visiting Researchers" sub-pages.  For all other inquiries, do not hesitate to contact the Museum by either the phone or email address provided.
